Web’Expert « Additive Manufacturing : LCM Technology »
Lithography-based Ceramics manufacturing
26th of June, 2020 – 2pm to 5pm (Paris time)
Webinar in English
By 2028, the additive ceramic manufacturing industry is expected to generate up to $3.6 billion worldwide. Although it is not as well established as plastic or metal additive manufacturing technologies, it has a bright future ahead of it. 3D ceramic printing will reach maturity in 2025 and become an established manufacturing technology in various sectors. Among the most widely used technologies, polymerization processes such as SLA allow a high level of precision and detail.
AIM OF THE WEBINAR: After a state of the art in additive ceramic manufacturing, we propose to help you understanding how a piece can be designed and produced by this technology. The objective is to help you identify whether this manufacturing process can meet your needs tomorrow.
TARGETED PUBLIC: Anyone with a scientific or technical background from design, methods, production or R&D departments.

The speaker : Dr Johannes HOMA
Dr. Johannes Homa studied Industrial Engineering at the Technical University of Vienna. Many years of research at the Vienna University of Technology equipped Dr. Johannes Homa and Dr. Johannes Benedikt with extensive technical knowledge of additive manufacturing of high-performance ceramics. In 2011 they founded Lithoz GmbH as a spin-off from the TU Vienna.
Dr. Benedikt and Dr. Homa have published many publications and are co-inventors of a number of patents in the field of additive manufacturing. In addition to their role in the company, they have both been active as lecturers in various educational establishments and universities since 2006.
Lithoz is a company specialized in the development and production of additive manufacturing systems for 3D printing of high-performance ceramics.
The interdisciplinary collaboration of specialists in the fields of mechanical engineering, process engineering and chemistry has led to the development of a manufacturing system, which allows the production of ceramics suited for industrial and medical use.
Lithoz® company is a full-service provider of high-performance ceramics produced by the patented LCM CeraFab technology. Through the use of this LCM technology patented by Lithoz®, additively manufactured components possess the same material properties as those produced through conventional manufacturing methods. In addition, Lithoz® offers application and material development to its customers in cooperation with renowned research institutes all over the world. Lithoz® was founded in 2011 by Dr. Johannes Homa and Dr. Johannes Benedikt as a spin-off of Vienna University of Technology. The company has an export share of almost 100%, nearly 70 employees and, since 2017, a subsidiary in the USA. Lithoz® has also been ISO 9001-2015 certified since 2016.
