From neolilthic caves to space shuttles, passing through ancient Greece where they were given their name (Keramos = potter’s earth), ceramics have been at the heart of man’s technical history from the very beginning.
By definition, ceramics are non-metallic, non-organic materials obtained by the action of high temperatures.
Traditional ceramics based on aluminosilicates underwent numerous changes in the twentieth century, resulting in higher quality, greater resistance and lower prices.
Although clay was originally the fundamental raw material, the use of new natural and synthetic raw materials has lead to the birth of technical ceramics.
